The objective of this research is to explore how to harness river flow as a source of electricity generation that can serve as an alternative backup energy supply for local communities. The generated electricity is stored in a battery and can be utilized during power outages, thereby reducing dependency on electricity supplied by the national utility company (PLN). This study was conducted in Banyuarang Village, Ngoro Sub-district, Jombang Regency. The water discharge (flow rate) was obtained by calculating the cross-sectional area of the channel (A) and the river flow velocity (V), which together resulted in an estimated power output of around 1000 watt. This power plant is designed for small-scale applications, commonly known as a Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTAMH), which utilizes flowing water rather than water falling from a height.
